PADI Sidemount Diver Course
Experience a more balanced and efficient way to dive
Under the guidance of a professional PADI Instructor, learn how to use sidemount cylinders for scuba diving. Many divers find sidemount more comfortable than traditional back-mounted setups, and easier to put on in the water. Sidemount diving can also improve balance, optimize underwater trim, and extend dive time, making it an efficient and safe way to dive.
Course Content
You will learn how to:
- Assemble and adjust sidemount diving equipment
- Enter and exit the water using sidemount cylinders
- Master techniques such as the frog kick and underwater neutral buoyancy
- Switch breathing gas between two cylinders
- Remove cylinders and swim with them positioned in front of the body
The course includes one confined water session to become familiar with sidemount equipment and basic operating skills, followed by three open water dives to practice real-world techniques, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures.
